TEAM_18_OH, SUGAR THERE GOES POLITICS_

Oh, Sugar! There Goes Politics’ is a vehicle for engaging the public in democracy. It takes the form of a mobile cart that can travel around disenfranchised neighbourhoods to break down the notion that politics is boring and “not for me”. Through the interaction the public engage in casual conversation where after they are presented with a stick of candyfloss. The candyfloss is made with sugar from one of three categories: left, right, and centre. These represent the political leanings that the vendor detects during the conversation. The aim of the project is to show people that politics can be present in any conversation and doesn’t always have to take a serious tone.
